Long haul daysss...

From this week onwards its gonna be long haul working hours. Work from 8am-7pm, 3 times a week. Well take it as earning extra pocket money, always comfort myself.

The management had announced, this year no bounus- as usual. Given bounus or not, does'nt really bother me as i'm just a part-timer. But for the full time tchers, i can tell that they are not happy at all. The FT tchers have slogged wif the cc for many years, at least sld award them wif sumthing "you ku lao, mei gong lao". I can understand ur disappiontment ladies. (Hugs)
We are proposing an incentive report to the management, perhaps there might be an awaiting surprise??!! heee..

Next year, Val and i will be taking the Kindergarten class again.

Next year- 2009 will be a time for me to make my decision. It will be a turning point for me in my career.

Excursion

Friday - Excursion to Frog Farm & Farmmart

Thanks to our lucky stars, there were minimium hippcups for this excursion. Everything went well. This time, my colleagues & i agreed it was the most 'Stress-Less' excursion as we need not SING on the bus. The 'saboh gang' Vin & Kz were in the other sch bus driven by jo hahahaha....Boss not arnd, nva kanna saboh, the feeling was Gooood... :p

The weather was kind to us despite Ch Newsasia reported of thunder storm in the afternoon. Parents bought quite a bit from Frog farm and Farmmart. Gald they enjoyed the outing.

Back at centre, bathe chn & tuck them to nap. I've forgotten to bring my house hairdryer, Opps! so i used centre's. The boys had a great idea of towel dry kid's hair then come to me for blow dry. Kz was fast enuf to place more chairs. The whole senerio seem like a factory production in operation :)

After work, spend time wif dh. We had frog porridge for dinner in Balestier area. Mmmmm..

Somethimes when I kanna touched....

Confirm going to Frog Farm then lunch @ Farmmart. I'll be overlooking my K kids.

Have keeping it for awhile till today. Kanna touched by Aiden-a pg boy. He glided/squeeze his hands down my chest area! Yesterday walk past him then i kanna smacked at the butt! This was'nt the first time. I was the only target :( towards other tchers he dare not. Dunno why....
Initially I was angry by his action, but later, i sympathised him. Thinking of many aspects abt this child- parental guidience, family teachings....etc His parents simply 'boh chap'......

Hope this child is able to stop such ruly actions before he gets older. haiz.....

An unfortunate event

We are surpose to go to Hay Dairiy Farm for our sch excursion this Friday, unfortunately, those goats are being quaretine till next week. The farm tour is cancelled without prior notice! Thank goodness Cat called the farm......urggg!! Bad service!!

Having 3 days to go, we must think of something....FAST! After many searches from the web, we zero down to - Jurong frog farm and Farmmart. Went to nevigate the frog farm after work. The place which i've been there 2 years ago, seems the same....very 'lork kok'- dilapdated. Went Farmmart, with a little luck, we found this place called Zero Pest Control Educational tour. This is kind of new to me. In general, its a place for kids to have an awareness of pest in Sinagpore and how to prevent it. They have a 'live' rat and a 'live' mini phython. Creepy~~~

The organisers are Cat & Val - to go Frog Farm? OR Farmmart Pest tour? Make ur decisions ladies.... lunch confirm booking @ Farmmart resturant.

Due to the last minute changes, we are going on an extremely tight budget. Hope to see some miracles today....

A new found place

Our starter- Mushroom in honey mustard dressing. Yum!!

The house red wine

Luv the bar counter

Daily specials

Timbre@ The Substation

We checked out this cool pub at Armenien street y'day. (near Fort Canning Park) It's call Timbre@ The Substation. My friends and i love the open air embience. They have 'live' band which starts at 9.45pm daily. Drinks and food was superb! The crowd are young, mostly ppl in their late 20s-early 30s. The happy hours prices are attractive. Their house red wine is S$38.00 per bottle. Its was a 2006 Californian red, very smooth and a hint of sweetness aftertaste. A great hang out place wif friends. Oh yes, it can be consider as a family pub whereby there's no age limit, even baby is allow. There was ONE baby there. Baby in a pub?? New age parents?? yah rite! Anyway, its a good place for chilling out and will definitely come again ^-^

Gifts

Today i woke up feeling refreshed and energised. Brought ds for swimming lesson and i swam too. I did 10 laspes (horizontally) at my best liao. I must admit that i've not been into sports for quite awhile. Some friends told me i've gained weight. Even a little girl in my centre said so...boo hoo... Better do sumthing!!
I was apprehensive abt the party which i gave my reasons in my earlier post. However, after knowing from cat and the brithday gal that she had a great time, i rest my case. Words like
'Surprised', 'Happy', 'Fun', 'Unforgettable' was what she claimed. She liked our gift very much. (black crystal necklace) which I've not seen it :( Cat told me i sld have come to the party. She felt young again....Cat, u very old meh?? Lol..... there will be opportunities for us to meet again.
Today looking out at ppl on the road..."Ren Hai Mang Mang". I started to think of ppl in my life, be it young or old. Suddenly felt the love, joy and indomitable spirit of me in every step of the way.
Friends who have been with me for years, friends who i just knew not long ago but felt connected, and other friends who come and go. You ppl play an important part of my life and i thank you for that.
How this blog was created also thanks to a young man. No doubt he's in his teens, he is unusually mature for his age. He has showed me his commitment to his childhood best friends and keeps it alive everyday. This kind of bonding between friends are remarkably rare in our society. Keep those fire burning, my friend. U are a living example for many to share. Smiles....
Somehow or rather, I find ppl who are non-Singaporeans more loyal and they will be there for u when u need them. They are more sincere and harbours no ill intentions towards friendship. My thanks to a dear friend who used to be my colleague. In the working world, eventhough there were many temptations, backstabbing, boot-licking and of course, 'female enviro' gossips, but ultimately, we stayed true to each other.
"Dear friend, I prayed for you that the plans u have in mind will come true one day and that u and your family members will prosper from it."
As we grow older and wiser, we are able to see more clearly what's really important in life. We appreciate more deeply in human experience, be it Love or Hate. Happy or Sad. We live more fully in the moment.
Friends are such beautiful gifts in my life and i have come to appreciate their openess, compassion and wisdom. Even our ' the other half ' , we started as friends too, right :p
This blog will be richly documentated on the part and parcel of my life. May it touch and inspire anyone who has taken their precious time to view my blog. Luv u always & faithfully!

Who's from China?

--Joke of the day-- Fri 5 Dec

This afternoon, I sat in wif our Head tcher A for an interview. The interviewee thought A was from Mainland China. From the side of my eyes, i cld see A's face turning BLACK...kanna mistaken as a CHINA aunty from an outsider, tonight sure cannot sleep. Ha!

I was hesitating whether to correct the interviewee or not. And I did, "hao ren zhuo dao di" :p

After the interview, A quickly ran to the Full-length mirror, examine herself from top to toe. Bet this joke is gonna to last for 1 week or more. Let's see.....hehehhe!!

It's a hard knock life

Went back to work today. (8am-2pm) After a long hoilday, the feeling of returning to work was always good. When i stepped into centre, Jo updated me on stuffs and also shared wif me the no. of kids withdrawing from the centre next year. To my dismay, the no. of kids to go was astonishing! I guess those parents are gearing up to brave next year's bad economy or maybe they have found a better learning ground for their kids. Of course, all parents want the best for their kids, but have they ever thought of the child's position? The environment adaptation? Learning abilities? I'm not trying to condemn ppl here...but hey spare a thought for the kids. Or perhaps a greener pasture will do them good???

Vin looked shock to see me... lol ... but i already knew he was coming as i met up wif cat y'day. She shared wif me abt work stuff, jj b'day stuff and some personal stuff. :p
Vin and I chatted quite a bit. It was a nice feeling. Our friend also boasted abt his 'Psychic' abilities which seems so profoundly TRUE... Lol...lol...his description of the scenerio sounds pretty hilarous :D "Vin The Guru" ^-^

Something sad happened today~ a colleague was ask to leave with immediate effect. Its the first case that i've witness after 3 yrs working in the centre. She came bearly 2 mths. In the
pre-school industry, if one staff lay hands on a child, its a dead end. Furthermore another child has seen the teacher's wrong doings. Such a pity. Wish u all the best.

Still pondering whether to go jj's d'day as i am not so keen on BBQ foodies. Furthermore, I have this gut feeling that it's gonna be quite restricted on certain ways.

<Shouting out loud> "Hey ppl get a grip! Its a BIG gal's birthday bash, no doubt she missed her childhood b'day but will simulating a kiddy b'day party really impress her? Somemore have her dress up and make pretend to drive her to a posh resturant for fine dining....OMG!! Perhaps we just wanna satisfy our own merry making, will JJ be ok?? She's a nice gal and i luv her as a friend.

Birthdays to me holds a very significant part of my life. Its to celebrate our birth life, an additional no. to ur age, to become older and wiser and of course, to have loads of drinks, food, hang loose, music and fun- in allcare 'xing mah'??

Sori ppl if i've offended anyone, i apologise. This is my blog and i pour my feelings out here- be it good or bad, no offence okie! luv ya.....

I enjoyed myself on this HK trip. Everything we planned went well and the transition was smooth. I marvelled on the improvement of their public transportation. Directions were clear and precise- in 3 languages, Cantonese, English and Pu Tong Hua. The station staffs were friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions and also taught us some short cuts routes to save a few bucks. Lol...

Its been a decade since i smelt Hk and it still looks familar to me.
Where to dine, shop and sight- see, no problem. Hmm perhaps next time, i'll jio some friends for a short get away. The night life in HK is also very happening....heeee :P

Thank God, we did'nt carry on our flight to BKK. We planned to spend a few days there. Hb's Thai staff alerted him that the airport is in code "RED". Thank you my friend.

I was too sadden by the news abt the S'porean gal lawyer that got killed in Mumbai. May her humble soul rest in peace.

What will be the future hold for the world and man-kind, its unpredictable, unforseen.
To me, let everyday be a happy day. As i read this article from a health magazine "Sleepless In Singapore"

40 percent of ur worries may nva happen
30 percent of ur worries are past events and nothing can be done abt them
10 percent of ur worries are abt petty things
12 percent of ur worries are abt ur health or diet, weight, etc. and will only aggravate the situation. So, stop worrying TODAY!

I believe "Staying true to oneself is good but believeing and delivering what u preach is better."
Cool quote hor...created by ur sincerely. :P

I've so much wishes for Christmas this yr. However my pirority is my dad's health. Wish him good health and we can spend many more happy years togather. Huggies.....

Going back to work tomorrow. Get pay yipee...

The great escape

--Day 5-- (Lantau Island)

Woke up early as we planned to visit the Giant Buddha, out of Disneyland area. This is a new attraction- The Ngong Ping 360. It was a cable car ride that offers 360 degree panamona views of North Lantau and the South China Sea. The ride to Ngong Ping Village took abt 25 mins, distance of 5.7 km. Although it was man-made, the structure was magnificient! We were captivated by the views of Tung Chung Bay, HK International airport, Ngong Ping plateau, Tian Tan Buddha and Ngong Ping Village.

As it was in the morning(9am), the mountain air was clean and fresh. However, upon arrival at Ngong Ping villiage, it was extremely windy and cold (temp 18 degress i think) though the sun was shinning brightly. We quicken our pace to reach the Giant Buddha as fast as our semi-frozen legs could carry us. Brrrrr .... Finally reached our destination haffing and puffing. One group of ang-moh, Abc sch kids came towards us. Their teacher wanted them to converse wif us in Mandarin and we obliged. Fyi- I was one doing all the answering while my 3 'Golden mouths' stood behind me to listen....urggg!

As if braving the windy walk was not enuf, going up to the Giant Buddha was another challenge. There were a total of 259 steps to reach the top. Two hundred and fifty nine steps of Sincerity, Faith, Determination and of course my stamina. We got to the top within 15 mins, no sweat :)
Again it was super windy, hmm i wonder how many knots/hr? The wind was so strong that i felt 'lifted' frm the ground!

Back to Nogong Ping Village, took a break at Starbucks for a cuppa then proceeded for the cable ride back to the terminal. Now my great escape start- the cable car ride going back was scary~
As I kept mentioning abt the W-I-N-D, it really caught us this time. Up the cable ride the wind was howling like crazy, the cabin was just 4 of us. No one talked. We were concentracting. I could feel the cabin swaying left and right. Imagine up in a high attitude, cable car swaying to and fro. Inside me i was praying hard to quickly get back to land. I feel like crying....for HELP!! But how to? We are on our own. Well if things really happen, we perish togather as a family. That's cool too right?!! " Ok, stop letting ur imagination go wild, Mavis. Nothing will happen."
Indeed, we got back in one piece, safe and sound ^-^
This is gonna be my First and the Last cable ride ever. Cross my heart. FOC, no Thanks. I rather take a bus next time....

Hong Kong Disneyland

~~Day 4~~ Hong Kong Disneyland, Lantau Island.

-Disneyland Hollywood Hotel-

We checked into Hong Kong Disneyland Hollywood Hotel. The front desk gave us an upgraded room - sea view. She told us that we could catch the fireworks display at Disneyland from the comfort of our room. We stayed at the highest floor. Cool!!
The room was very comfy, there was a mini bar wif complimentary coffee & tea. They used superior brands like Dilmah for tea and Nescafe gold fr coffee. All the scachets were inprinted wif Disneyland logo. There was a 30 inch LCD Tv wif non-stop disney programmes
(in 3 different languages). I also noticed on the Tv control pad list, Ch 32 was specially for kids at bedtime wif soothing music and bedtime stories....how abt that huh?!! I am impressed. Too bad my kids missed the bedtime Ch. So many things to do where got time to sleep, lol!
The toilet was cute wif all Mickey and Minnie mouse theme toiletries, even the shower curtain. They even have Mickey mouse bedroom slippers in kids and adult sizes for us to bring home. Overall the room is child-friendly wif a touch of class. $$ worth spending.

When walking in the hotel, some disney characters appeared. We took pic wif Goofy. The Mickey themed Cafe served a wide range of international food. We were spoilt of choice. The cutlery set was cute. I like the side-plate as it was Mickey's underpants. lol lol....

--Disneyland--

The shuttle bus to Disneyland comes every 10 minutes. It was abt 15 mins drive to the park.
The magic begins the moment we set foot inside the gates wif all the spectacular attractions of the 4 different themed lands:- The storybook- FanastyLand,
the daring Tarzan exploits- Adventureland,
the futurescapes- Tommorrowland and,
small town America- Main street USA.

The HK disneyland was a small scale theme park, as compared to the one in LA which i had visited. The original one is in Florida- US, where u need 2 full days to complete the whole park.
For HK disney, 1 day is ample. We spend half a day there cuz tml we've got another full day. The things were expensive. A popcorn cost S$8.00 and drinks- mineral water S$5.00- standard price. hiaz....

I'll always tell myself, going on holidays, "Dun worry, be happy. Money can be earn but u can't buy memories and time" ^-^

C'tnue frm previous page....

On the second night, hb suggested we sld try out their local 'zhu chao'. We decided to plonk ourselves to one which was crowded. Guess this stall must be good. Ordered "Lai Liu Har"- wee wee prawns (deep fried, little meat but very sweet) Fresh scallops that came wif their shells. (fresh scallops pour over wif loads of crispy garlic and tong feng- shiok!) I ate all the scallops dish as hb was put off by the amt of garlic they put in it. Yum! Yum! Haaaaaa, talk to me :P
Kiddies had sweet and sour ribs, roasted duck and a plate of white veg. The meal was very satisfying after a bottle of their local beer i shared wif hb. "Burp!" excuse me ^-^

We met my hb's childhood good friend, Charles and his wife. They too were holidaying at HK and staying in the same hotel as us! Such pure coincidence lol...Too bad, they were checking out the next morning oresle we could have a drink togather. Well guys, let's catch up at SIN :)

Day 3- Charles told us across our hotel, there was a resturant ( Ming Xin seafood resturant) that serves excellent local dim sum. We trust his taste as he is an avid foodie like me :P
The local start their dim sum as early as 10.30 am till 2.oopm. By the way, there's no time difference between HK and SIN. We ordered their traditional HK delicacy like har kao, siew mai, char siew bao, fried carrot cake, rice roll wif char siew, and my fav tasty egg tart. The fish porridge was extremely smooth and tasty, it came in a hot pot. Overall the service was so-so. "Hey what can u expect in a local non-english speaking envioronment!!" but the food came fast and every dish was hot. I simply cannot resist the dan tart-flaky pastry while the inside is smooth filling with sweet taste of egg. Simply heaven~~~~
The price was resonable. We spent arnd HK$ 270.00 / S$57.00.
If in SIN, to dine at Xin Fu resturant can easily cost us S$100.
After a hearty meal, we check out of Nathan hotel and headed to HK Disneyland.

~~Mavis says~~
We had a pleasent stay at the comfy 4 star Nathan Hotel. The toilet amenities were always well replenished when we came back to our room. As this hotel has undergone a multi-millon facelift, the rooms are very clean and bath towels are new. Sori, me here are very particular on such areas....."Must be my Taurus instincts lah" :P
I'll definetly book this hotel again and reccomand my friends. 2 thumbs up!!

Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, not much changes though. Just notice ppl in the city areas are able to converse in English better now. The sales ppl are more friendly and helpful. Well, somehow gotto thank the China market as this sparks the HK ppl to be competitive so as to boost their economy and to take the humble pie.
>>>>>>>> toot-tooo-toot -toooo HK Disneyland here I come >>>>>>>>

Hong Kong- Live it. Love it!

After a winter break in Hong Kong, I can finally sit back, relax and blog..

--Day 1-- (Hong Kong Island, Kowloon area)
Feelings: excited. Misses: my mum & dad, ppl @ allcare- like real lol...

Pat drove us to the airport at 8am. We took SQ as we always did. This time (SIN-HKG) i did'nt see any familiar faces. :(

Flt time to HK was 3 1/2 hrs so we have plently of time to honk arnd the cabin. I managed to catch movie "Mamma Mia" which i've missed in Sin.

It was a smooth landing- i'm very scaptical abt Take-offs and Landings even when i was flying back then. These are actually the crucial minutes of Life and Death~~~~haha but its TRUE!!
(At this point, u'll knw the ability of the Captain's mobility skills Ha!)

Reached HK, it was my 1st time in the new airport. Looks quite similar as BKK's airport. Of course, it was so much brighter and bigger as compared to the old one. We took the express train all the way to Kowloon station. At the station, we took another free shuttle bus to our hotel. Super convenient plus save HK$$ as compared to taking a cab!! Airport to Hotel estimated journey time travelled by cab is arnd 1 hr plus.

We stayed at Nathan Hotel. The location was fantastic as the eateries are just a stone throw away. Seeing there were kids, the hotel manager upgraded us to a double deluxe room, awesome! We quickly unpacked our stuffs and headed down to the bustling streets.

Miu kai- temple street and Nam Yan Kai- men's street, all just behind our hotel,
to look-see, look-see. The stall ppl are much patient and they allow ppl to touch their stuff eventhough you have no intention to buy. We bought some socks, little souveniors here and there. The tempreature in HK is arnd 18-24 degrees so it was'nt so cold. In the day time we went out in our Tees and jeans whereas the Hong Kongers wore their winter jackets and sweaters. Even till night, the weather was just fine :)

As i was walking down the busy street, i was able to recall familiar sights. After all these yrs, Tsim Sha Tsui area where i stayed as SQ crew did'nt change a bit. The familiar HMV, Esprit and my fav HK porridge stall are still there!!! The Chirstmas lightings were up at Lane Crawford- a famous walking street, many HK dramas were flimed there. No movie star this time lol....

--Day 2 and Day 3--
Feelings: aggitated-> frustrated-> glad.

Second day went to Ocean Park. It was one of Southeast asia's largest aquariums and theme park. My dd wanted to see the cuddly panda bears but unfortunately the place was under construction. Hb and son are thrill seekers, so they went for the Mine train ride and the heart-throbbing the Abyess Turbo Drop. Of course, my heart almost drop too...yikes

As Ocean Park was one of the tourist attraction, we were kind of 'suai'- 'unlucky' in mandarin. We kanna the China crowd. Went to watch the Dolphin Encounter show, despite coming early to get good seats, those mainlanders just jump queue, literately shouting at their counterparts to come and seat with each other!! Those groups are'nt 1 or 2 groups but 4 tour groups. Imagine 1 tour gp = 30 ppl, 4 gps??!!

We were sitting right smack in the middle of one tour group!!! "Tx to my hb lah"....We did'nt enjoy the show... :(

Gald that those mainlanders exit themselves before the show ends so we were able to catch the finale, but still it was a letdown. They need to brush up their English as it was muffled. We ended the day with a cable car ride with spectacular view from the lowlands area.

My view: On Ocean Park, Once is enuf!! Thumbs down .

My big day- Part 2

Ok went to Novena sq this am. Finally bought an Addidas top for a good price. Usual price was S$79 , I got it at S$36 :) I wore a black tennis skirt to go wif...

Val picked me up from my pl and we headed to centre. When there, all tchers went to have their hair done, except me :(
I was still hesitating to wear btwn a pants or my tennis skirt and later choose the skirt...
( my colleauge said i looked like a schgal, very 'qin chun'...lol...lol... ;p )

The day went on, had another round of rehearsal wif Vin. KL and zhijing were there to give "morale" surport.

"Ahem, definition of MORALE surport = jumping arnd and singing out of tune songs on stage while i was doing my speech" =.=
...Lol... I really enjoyed having u guys arnd, so crazy and fun! Luv u....

My dear Eyoven, guess you are too confident that on stage, u r the oni one who has forgotten your thank you speech. Aiden, i feel like putting a time bomb and rocket on ur back. Up, up and away, be gone-disappear-evaporate!!!! No discipline at all, his parents could'nt care less...urgggg.

Verdict: parents came too early, dinner was slow, chn was brought into the music for makeup too slow pace. FYI- my face and fingers almost kanna slammed by auntie. She was like a security guard in an highly secured enclosure that bans ppl from gg in...even me :( :(
anyway I forgive u auntie, guess you are just obeying the orders from inside...smiles.

Thanks Steven for his job well done on the dinner buffet. Jo was impress wif the food portion and parents gave very positive feedbacks to her. Thk God i did'nt screw up big time as I was in-charged of the buffet. Too bad, i did'nt eat much as i was still overcoming my anxiety of the 2 bloppers that have left me and my dj in a lurch....~~~~~~~

Blopper no. 1 - tcher inside the room got way tooo carried away by the nusery class item that they've forgotten to change the PG/Tod while i present the prize for parents!! :(

Thank god I had a few lame olympic ques for the audience but it was'nt good enuf. Then decided to signalled my dj to play music. He played super trouper...lol...can be other song my dear but at least the crowd was controlled.

Blopper no 2- my c'est si bon item. tchers cannot finish on time. Told my dj to play music then Cat gave me the OK sign. My poor dj has to cut the song abruptly...sori Vin

In conclusion, apart from the bloppers, it all went pretty well.

"Hey, we are not professionals anyway. To deliver such an event once a year , very good liao"

My silent thanks to~ tchers who have helped me sewed my class costumes. My best K1/2 partner val, u r D best! What can i do w/o u.... :p

My best dj~ Hey you are good. You are able to go wif the flow with me. Although there were hipcups here and there. You remained ur cool. You said Kz was better. If I would to choose btw u or Kz to be my partner, I'll choose you. Kz can be obstinate while u are more gentle wif me. Ha! Thanks for sharing ur result wif me. Well, studies is a pharse whereby all of us has to go tru. I'm gald that u r putting effort in ur studies. Believe in whatever u do and stay true to it. One day u'll succeed.

As for me, i think i did well for the concert tonight. No reading error nor miss out any person names for the prize giving. Give a pat on my shoulder. Still feeling nervous dunno why...haiz

On the whole, Allcare has given me many opportunities and allowing me space to grow. Thanks to my mentor, Josephine. How can i ever thank you, JO for covering up duties while my dad was in hospital. Your understanding is deeply appreaciated.- THANKS GUYS & BABES -luv you.

Okie have been talking way toooo much to myself, fingers tired liao....zounk'in out. Nitzzzzzzzz

My big day-

Today is my centre's Year-end celebration cum graduation ceremony. This year i am the emcee. My dee jay is Vincent- Zhi is away in Beijing. Let's see how's my new partner performs tonight :p

Hiaz....still dunno what to wear! Theme is 'sports attire' which i dun have it in my closet!! later gg to Novena sq to try my luck. Hope to get a piece that i can wear daily.

This year i am pretty nervous, dunno why >.<>

ok, gg another round of my speech. Wish me luck....

Whinchell. Well son, u boys still can meet up during recess time... :p

Overall, hb & I are happy wif kiddies results. Work harder next. Mummy always says:" Work hard but work smart. All work no play makes Jack a dull boy. Play hard, work harder"

Love you......

God Bless My DAD

Its has been days since my last posting. Really got no mood to pen. On November 9 my dad had an emergency flight back to S'pore from Jakarta. He passed out FRESH BLOOD from his urinary tract! We were only been informed when he reached S'pore as he did'nt want us to worry. I must salute my dad for being so brave. Imagine fresh blood and blood clots gushing out. Took a flight back alone. The pain he experienced was beyond exlpained. He told us he prayed and prayed. Ask God to get him back safely to S'pore. His prayers were answered and believe me, miracles do happen!! The flt from Jarkata took off 1/2 hour earlier then schdule time, pax load was light and once upon reaching Sin, my sis was there to send him to Gleneagles Hospital straight.

The doc (Dr Tung) did a CT scan and asked to operate immediately as my dad's left kidney was swallen and bleeding occurs. There was a 12cm turmour in his left kidney! We prayed...

The operation took 4 hours and it was a success!! The doc took out the left kidney for further examination. During the 4 days stay my dad was recovering very well. On the 3rd day he was able to sit up to read newspapers, take sips of water....etc Amazing recovery!!

Through all these unexpected experience, my dad has seen miracles taken place in him. He is now a believer of Jesus Christ as his personal saviour. Praise the Lord!

Although I am still not a believer, I am truly happy for my dad.

" Pa, do'nt worry about the hospital bills, now is the time to really strengthen up your body, recover well, we still have got another battle to fight. Be strong. We are united as one family and always a FAMILY. We love you very much <3

Its me

Today was ds E-learning day so he need not go to school. My sis still resting at home, she is doing well after her miscarriage. :)

On my last posting, I was wondering something....and I am glad I got my answer.

The spring cleaning was no joke and of course NO FUN!!! Btw i was the last one who came to centre...opps :p Its was still raining and yet my colleagues were washing tables and chairs in the rain....OMG!!!! Me, of course not that dumb to be in the rain- (anyway i din bring extra clothes)went to take out all last year's wall deco. Ha! Work hard also gotto work smart!!!!!

Although it was tough job but there were moments of fun. <> A few of us were terrified of lizards. The lizards are BIG, HUGE, XXXL.....!!!! We need to push out shelves in order to clean those areas and these are the places where those little grey slimy 4 legged creatures nesting grounds are!!!! Each of us make an attempt to choose a shelf and see who strike the "jackpot" Lol.......SCREAM.....

Hurray we are going on a holiday right after my school's graduation. (HongKong Disneyland)
3 nights at Nathan hotel and 2 nights at Disneyland. Nathan is a 4 star hotel in Kowloon. I hope we are able to get a bigger room as most rooms in HK are very tiny. :)
Its been 10 years since i smell HK after quittng from SQ. Really excited! Looking forward to take the Mickey mouse MTR to lantau Island where Disneyland is.

[Update on my trip when we get back]

Since wed, I am looking forward to go work. But this time, it seems controlled. Thank god.

Well Done

My dd did well for her SA2. All subjects in the Band 1 range :D Her teacher also encouraged her to go for higher chinese next year. So it means she gotta work extra hard next year! Lol...

Next week, let's see my ds' result. :p

Nothing much happening today at work. I just stepped into centre, gossips on our
"High-class tcher" started to drench my ears.....Lol...Lol...very classic, very standard complains. Seems so routine. Ha! So bad to the extend that a newcomer tcher got so fed up wif her doings...Its seems so intense. So many years in the pre-school industry yet she seems like a newbie. Well, she got along quite well with me though. Perhaps I dun really bother nor take her sacastic remarks personally. Just a job anyway.

Planning to go on a holiday soon. This year not gg to BKK as the situation there is still chaotic. Dh plans to bring us to HK disneyland. I tot JPN would be nicer. :P

Tml is spring cleaning day at my work pl. Its gonna be a long, sweaty and tiring day for me.
Wish me luck!

Dead blog no longer....I'M ALIVE!

My dear blog, its been awhile i have not been pen in... ... ... =_=

Suddenly felt like a total stranger in here! Lol...

Finally kids exams are over. I had been good for staying away from my lap ever since Sept holiday from Genting. Totally put 100 per cent concentration on my kiddies exams. I hope they'll understand and come to appreciate mummy's time and effort. Don't wish my kids to be scholars but at least reasonable results. ( score in the range of Band 1-2 ) esp my son. :)

Have been busy at work too. Getting ready for the Year- end Graduation concert. Thank goodness my K class dance steps are done. Phew! Thanks to the chn too, they are fast learners and most of them are musically incline :)

My dance items are : All for one ( High school musical 2 )

C'est Si Bon ( 5566 )

This year I am the MC a-g-a-i-n .....hiaz~~~~xian......

Grace's wedding is around the corner....I am happy for her as she has overcome her cancer ordeal. You are a strong gal...God bless you!

Usually at this time, my friend will be here. Perhaps you are busy . Wonder are you coming for this sat spring cleaning??

Wax factor

My cousin from London is back for a break. Yesterday she came by for a visit. Only now then i know this cousin of mine is studying Architectual designing in LHR! Wah way to go gal.....^-^

She shared wif me that she's gonna have brazillian wax done today. Ermm....sori fyi i'm kinda confuse between brazillian waxing versa binkini waxing only till yesterday......ha!

Binkini wax = shaven hair along the bikini line area. Still acceaptable. =)

Brazillian wax = "Botak" down under!! OMG...!!

This kept me thinking...

Brazilian waxing can be an adventure. First, i guess it takes guts to go to the saloon to have it done by a stranger no doubt that person is a FEMALE. Going through that ordeal is also very traumatic. Imagine lying down aka "child-birth" position is bad enuf some more have to turn back to do the rear....hot wax over it and strip down & out....OUCH !!!!! Cannot take it man.....=.=

Must salute my cuz... afterthat the 'maintainence' must be well kept orelse.....'durain' le Lol....

Conclusion: I'll still respect mother nature. As for Bikini waxing, been there, done it, the furthest i can venture. Wax factor rate 2/10. I'm more a Veet mouse shaving fan.

Read from a friend's blog.

Said that he loves to walk in rain at night....why?

-So nobody can see him cry....

I know he is hurt. Hurt by Love. But does he know the meaning of loving a person really is? No one is a casanova, even me, I'm still on the road of learning to love my dh. Learning to love my kids, my parents, my siblings and the people around me. It's a never ending story in mankind. Love is patient, love is kind...blah blah we all know that but i guess its more that just I luv u, u luv me kind of stuff....(",)

When i was a teen, my love life was pretty simple, innocent puppy love, sweet and forgetable haha...still young mah also dunno what's true love is.

Teens nowadays matures early. They experienced BGR fast. Comes and goes easily, one after another. However, my blog pal here seems to be passionate or should i quote him as the wishy washy one. One minute said break liao then next minute cannot forget her......hiaz

Friend, as i've told u before. Study is top priority then everything will flow. Everything takes time, so does Love...remember that. ... ... . ...

Crying inside

"You ask me if I loved you, and I choked on my reply, I rather hurt you honestly..."

This is my blog song. Heard it, luv it.

Asked myself, "if i really loved someone, will I choked on my reply?" Definetly not.

However, when i heard it today, i have a second thought. 13 years of marriage, living together, sharing one bed. Pratically having your presence everywhere. We joked, we laughed, we quarrelled. I guess this is an daily event that every couple has experienced before.

This week, ds having his CAs. During this period, i became paranoid, dunno why, also dunno how to cope with my tense feelings over exams. Perhaps in my school days, I was like that. Always wanns strive for the best to be the top in class. But sadly, my ds seems not to have my 'kiasu' geane. He seems so relax, nva auto take his textbks out for revision....hiaz

Questions like:
-whether ds is well-prepared? can he do well in his exams?
-what if he fail, it will be recorded in his report book!!
-If he fails his exams, am i to be blamed as i am working? Should i stay home instead?
-Got tuition still fail? waste $$? or change tutor?....so many "what ifs" !!!!! >.<

To top my frustrations, my dh does'nt bother about their school work. Very rarely he goes into their studyrm to check on them. I know he had a hard day's work but at least show so concern lah! Kids spelling scored 100% also no praises. Do u know the purpose of letting you sign their work? Did you know what are your kids weakness? .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

I dun mean to slam dh in my blog but I am really tired. Communication amongst couples are an essential expat of everyday living. I feel that we are still in the olden days whereby husband rules everything, wife to obey. As i grow older and wiser, read more and learn more, I have my say too.

While i was typing this blog something caught my eye, "Chicken Soup For The Soul". Oh yes! I remembered this book. It was the first edition that I bought many years ago. Read tru on Love, Marriage and Parenting. It has opened my heart and my soul, a good wake up call indeed! Perhaps i should see things in a different point of view and not being claustrophobic. Well I guess we should embrace what we have at present and live life well. I love you...

Rest day

I am on leave today as my kids have no school. (PSLE oral)
Surpose to go United Sq to buy a b'day gift for my niece but mum has got sumthing installed so I just add in my share...."Save the trouble to go out. Tx mum.. =)"

So staying home today, go through Chinese wif my ds as his CA2 is next week. If not, our 'friend' cannot go Genting wif us.
Well again, am i so cruel to not let him go, if he does'nt do well in his CAs? Of course not. However, I hope at least there's a target for him to strive in order to fullfill his Genting holiday.

Last time in my school days where got everytime go holidays?!! Teach my son moral " xian ku hou tian"- suffer first then enjoy what you've sowed. Then again, do chn nowadys understand the meaning?? They get what they want, just by a snap of a finger.
Sori, not for my kids, they gotta earn for it- at times, Lol.
I wannna let them have a feel things dun come so easily. ... ok ok sori, begining to be loh soh...better stop. ^_^

Haaa~ at least today no need to rush, can relax a bit.

Still go into my friend's blog to read. Perhaps its part of my habit liao. ... from there i am able to know at least how are things going on, whether sad or happy, can study or not...etc so far my friend is doing ok. See how long can job+study last..... ;p

Today went to work by cab as both my dad & dh are not in town cannot hitch a ride from them.

My resolution for 2008 > Get a DRIVING LICENSE which at the present moment seems blick :(
My dh discourage me to drive...which i dun understand till now lo!! >.<
Now the car is parked nicely in the carpark to collect dust. Haiz~~

School as usual, nothing interesting. Tk goodness I need not stay back today. went lunch wif my galfriend. My treat this time...remember u paid for the korean bbq? Lol....

Lunch was good. We ordered

Appettizer:

garlic baked escagot>> okok soso... end part a little burnt

tangy buffalo wings>> awesomely yummy...skin is crispy, meat well marinated. Luv the sauce!!

Main course set meal: mushroom soup, garlic bread, beer battered fish N chips>>Big portion!!

Dessert: coffee and vanilla ice cream.

All below $50.00. Its located in one of the industrial buildings near my centre. 1st timer may find this place ' wo lu'. If u are interested, drop me a post in my Cbox and i'll reply wif the address.

Went to hunt for another tutorial centre for my ds as I find his current tuition did not show any progress. There's one newly opened @ Balestier Plaza called Kip Mcgrath tuition centre. spoken wif the centre's director she seems sincere and patient wif my queries. (sort of testing her ;p)
The environment looks conducive and clean. These are some factors that I'm pretty particular abt :) will bring ds for an assesment on Friday. Hope it will be a good motivation for ds.

As parents, its a real headache finding the right place & right ppl to tutor our kids.
Home tuition ever crossed my mind however feedbacks from friends & tchers that as its one to one coaching, the child will find it draggy and not challenging. Futhermore its in a familiar place, the child will find excuses to slack and waste time. Really not an ez task!! tsk tsk....=_=

So much so for my kids....I still haven't have my hair done... sob... sob...

Holiday

We are going for a holiday during the september holiday. Dh has booked a 2 rm apartment @ Awana Resort Golf & country club @ Genting Highlands. Dh will be driving there. Driving up on mon am. My friends will be meeting us there on wed.

This time round, I am packing more warm clothings. The last time we went Genting, dh said it was'nt cold there so din pack any sweater. To my dismay, it was raining throughout and of course, it's freezing!! I got sick and had to stay in bed for the whole day in the hotel rm :(
-Thanks to my dh lah >.<

This time i am gg to pack according to my own instinct and i bet my dh wun even dare to whimper or give unfavourable remarks. I told him : "This time shut up, I'll do the packing. U concentrate ur driving can liao." hahaha!....Lol

My kids were excited and looking forward to the trip. It's their 2nd time to Genting. Pray hard hope the weather is good. (raining on our last trip)

Son, u have promised us to do well in ur CAs then go Genting. If not, sori dude, u r gg to be grounded and stay back in SIN.... Its up to u son! ;)

okie gg for my dinner @ Sq 2 novena. Tuning next time....bb

ps: I've just uploaded song 'Sometime when we touch' by Olivia Ong. Its soothing and i liked her voice. Hope u'll enjoy this song as much as i do. ^-^

Happy 43rd National Birthday Singapore!!

Thank you Singapore for giving us a safe place to live in. Away from natural disasters and away from proverty. <3

Look who's shekking

For 2 consecutively days- thur & fri I worked full time. 8am to 7pm, 11 hours straight :(
Totally shek out! Surposed to pamper myself to novena- hair machenics for a hair cut but kanna asked to stay back to cover for another tcher's duties. So gone wif my hair pampering day :(

080808-Friday: The eve of National day. We had a mini celebration at centre. Only 3 tchers to handle a 'strong' crowd of monkeys Lol...although it was tiring, we had a good time. Everything was smooth going- party>showering>lunch>nap>Marco's b'day in the pm> i followed sch bus>back to centre. Thanks to my 2 other colleagues A & V. Our co-ordination was good and that make our job effoetless! Hugs....

Went home finally can take a good rest, sudddenly felt my hold body went soft. looks like my body & brian went into 'relax' mode liao. Ha! Watched the opening ceremony of the 29th Beijing Oylmpic games. The perfomance was spectacular and breath taking. I am very proud of the chinese nationals. I think they've done a brilliant job. During the last part of the show (the lighting of the main Oylmpic touch, my heart pond fast. I was so afraid that the flames will extinguish. however, not only the fire was well delivered to the main touch, the fire was magnificant. The touch fired beautifully!! Yah....go go...wooo

Dd din do well in her math test- 9/20. Saw her paper, section A & B was good. Loose all her marks to problem sums. Asked her nicely what happen, she replied that she din read the question. Just simply 'got number' write number, + and - also anyhow fill in ~_~ She addmitted that she dun wanna be late for recess so she din read the questions! hiaz....

Her english test was good. Paper 1- Composition got 8/10. Paper 2- got 21/25. Overall I'm pretty happy wif her performance despite her math paper. I'm gald and praise her for being honest wif me. I always tell them, no matter what marks they got back from school, they must show it to me. Be honest, be true to oneself and that, pple will respect you. This phrase was 'created' for my ds. He once forged my signature as he din learn his chinese spelling. His teacher wanted my signature. I din not reprimand him but ask him why?....he gave me a resonable answer and i accepted it. I am not embrasses to expose him here, it's to let him aware of the consequences of the aftermath. I hope he learns to take responsibilities and grow up.

Ds, last sun u lost ur hp @ Ikea. We have a good talk and I hope you have learnt a painful but a good lesson. Please treasure your personal belongings in future.

random: See how long this 'careless' & 'forgetful' ds of mine can remember my teachings~ ^-^

“喜欢的不一定都能说出口 常常只能放在心中。。。”

Then now, gotto juggle study+work, I'm quite scaptical. Well my dear friend, let u go and experience what's the working world outside then maybe u'll come to appreciated your studies. Good luck!

Gotcha-me

I'm soooo tired! Y'day watch HKdrama till 2am -_-

Today gotto wake up early to go back to centre for the Seventh month offerings. (btw it's my bossy who does the offerings, we go and show face can liao) every year the same.

Feeling very lack, I din bother to dress up- in Tee and shorts and wif my glasses. Hey its sat mah, moreover its an unoffical event so I dun give a damn.

BUT of all days, that person came!! OmG....totally caught me by surprise! My heart was pounding hard, find the place suddenly so stuffy. One part of me was so happy and the other part was like mah lu> my unplanned dressing >.<

Said to myself " Y do u have to come today? Can't u meet K sumwhere?" Saw me first time in my spec, said I looked funny. "Helllooo..... do i look that bad huh?!!"

Anyway the situation was in control, thk goodness got other colleagues there to chat wif. Shared wif us abt OJE. Has been looking forward to it. Wish u good luck hope u get the job. However bottom line, studies comes 1st.

dunno y I still harbours the feeling no doubt I am totally aware of the answer. Sometimes words are not meant to be spoken, it can only felt by the heart. Its the place where i can put the 'other side of me' safe, sound and untouched. The song "Sometimes when we touch" moved me, u played it in the bus that night. A memory to remember and be treasured.

Sometimes you just have to SMILE,
pretend everything's okay,
hold back the tears
and walk away......

Saw this phrase somewhere, find it cute so decided to post ^_^

Don't walk ahead of me,
I may not know the way.
Don't walk behind me,
I may not know how to lead.
Just walk beside me,
as our friendship last a lifetime.

Generation TOF

Generation TOF.
TOF stands for teenagers of today. Just wanna share my comments as I guess some of my gfs who have younger kids like me, will be facing this problem, say, 8-10 yrs from now?! =)

I was on a SBS bus going to fetch my son after school. A group of sec sch kids around 5-6 of them- boys & gals boarded the bus. I was seated at the last few row. They headed straight to the back seat. Once they plonked their bums onto the seats, they yak so loudly as if the other passengers were transparent. Me, of course can hear their conversation so clearly. "Bu ting bai bu ting" mah plus kpoh as well la..... Lol.

Anyway heard them yaking abt NKF- all bullsh**, kanna 'sah boh' , kanna 'sai' etc
made all sorts of "teenager's philosophy" I was smiling to myself. One gal trying to talk like Hannah Montana wif ang moh slang....Aiyo dear gal pls spare my ears!!! >.<
Another one suggested to jio her kakis go Geylang on wkn.
I was like, hmm: "Of all place jio friends go Geylang?? Whatever for?"
"To eat durian lah, u think what"...she rebutted her guyfriend. OmG.....

Teenagers are also good, I mean they are very good, at using codes to shorten a sentence. Like TBC= to be confirm, emo= emotion, wtH= what the he** to name a few. I'm trying to think back on my sec sch days if i was like those kidz....i do hang outs after school, i do chat on public bus but some how I feel, I see and I hear, it was very different as compared to my time. Cannot imagine what our own kids will be like when they become teens. A real challenge indeed!

Well I m not saying that teens now are bad. Perhaps its the education system of today that may have created it. Now I hardly hear abt schs teaching "Hao Gong Ming" - civic & morale education. The teenage world is really vast & complicated. I do have a few teen friends and also go into their blogsite to read their posts. That's where I learn and get to understand their needs, their passion and their way of 'surviving' in their own little planet. I guess teen now are very bless wif High-tec computers, hp, blogging, Msn and what nots. Our time, hanging out at Mac was consider 'naughty' liao. Haiz....agree?

No matter what, life goes on...I am happy for what I am and I m gald to have passed my teenager age, esp schwork, hahaha....No offence teens, I still luv u guyz!

My gf has tendered her resignation today. ( All the best to you babe, I respect ur decision ;)
Everything's back to normal again....

Mum's not cooking so I tah bao KFC for dinner after work. Perhaps it has been a long time since we ate fast food, it was'nt cheap lor.... I've ordered- Family feast set A and cheesy meltz, only 2 set meals already cost me around S$32.00!! O_o

Wif that amt of money I could simply go to Fish & Co, or maybe Crystal jade for a good meal liao! Furthermore its just frozen chix coated wif their so called "secert recipe" okay.... ;p

Anyway gotto be thankful lah, ppl in other countries are suffering from food shortage. Hmm this sentence sounds familiar le....Cuz I always remind my kids at dinner table not to waste their food. And yours truly here complaining abt prices and sweet nothings... (slap my own mouth) Lol.....

Ladies alert: Does anyone go for facial? Feeling vain liao wanna give it a try....Lol

Like to thank Mel & Janice, you ladies are my first 2 pals to post on my tagboard. Keep it rolling yah!

~Smiles~

Splish splash

Taken leave today as both my dad & dh are not in town. Such a good feeling, home alone (^_^)
Can take my time, my own pace at peace. Lol

Later in the afternoon, pick up son from sch after his remidial class and urgent to dd school as a parent voulenter for her swimming lessons. This time my dh was not there to drive me around. Ha! But thank god, the transitions were smooth and very timely. I was 30 mins early to reach my dd's sch.

Dd always enjoy Monday as she can get to go swimming. I am glad as she has overcome her fear of water although she has a mild allergy for chlorine. But it does'nt bother her. dd has such a good time in the pool. Saw the coach treaching her how to kick water, put her head inside the water to blow bubbles. She looks so cute & 'sexy' in her swim wear + swimming cap + goggles. Lol....aka like some super hero character Lol lol lol......will upload her pic soon. Btw my dd is a non swimmer. She better know how to swim after the 8 lessons cuz mummy here will have to go to her sch 8X :p

Today aunty Susie- another parent voulenter, made hotdog buns+ Yakult for our girls of P1J class. The last time she made ham & cheese sandwich+ pkt milo for our girls. Thankies Susie!!
I was telling my dd her class was so blessed to have food ready after every swimming lessons. The other class P1G seems like no moms bother to bring food for the whole class. Anyway we shared wif them and the little dears were all smiles... Hey i like that feeling! Shall think of something to bring on next mon...pai seh :p

So much so for today. Thank you for a blessed & wonderful day. (",)

Ugly duckling

What in the world are we living for ?

- to live for our Family

- to live for the Money

- to live for Love or

- to live for today, as yesterday was gone and maybe tommorrow will never come;

so what is the reason? I wonder.... =_=

Last week, was a "crazy" week for a dear friend of mine, Me, indirectly also got involved in it.
This evening, we had a good talk, she truly apologise and regretted having me involved in her complicated affair. - " No worries babe, what are friends for......"

Tue, wed and thur her uneventful disaster striked...

Tue> she was our sch bus driver cum asst tcher. Puntured a front tyre as it hit onto one of the stone curb near our driveway. There was a loud 'Pisssss.......' thk goodness the kids on the bus were unhurt. Bill came out S$133.00 to change new tyre. Initially and surposingly, this bill was covered by the school. Then the next day, principal asked her to pay for the damages....

(Shout-Out-Loud) So unfair!! What the h** is this , man! Why has my friend need to pay for the damage while she was at work? Isn't it covered by the company? Was'nt it stated clearly on the contract? Fyi my friend is a FT stuff. That was a shocker no.1 .

Wed> She received a call from her maid saying that the store room door was going to collasp. Of course instinct tells her to rush home. BUT bossy only gave her 2 hrs, told her to come back and drive the pm sch bus....
"Erm excuse me...?! 2 hrs for her to contact contractor, carpenter, take photos, isolate the area. Then wait for contractor and carpenter....etc all needs time. 2 hrs? Impossible!"
She did call back telling bossy that she can't make it. Reluctantly bossy let her off. My friend felt bad so she decided to explain to bossy the next day. But to her surprise, bossy told her that she already has planned who to drive the pm bus while my friend was in that "panic station" mode. "Wah lao what does this show?" My friend felt like a fool, a fool kanna play around left & & right....shocker no.2

Fyi my bossy was'nt like that, as I've stated in my earlier post some people changed, but most people changed for the WORST!! Sad lor....:(

Thur> My galfriend found out that her dd P4 played truant after school. Her dd lied to her that instead of going to the library, she and some friends went to the nearby shopping mall to have fun. That was the greatest blow my gf could ever endure, she eventually broke down. She could'nt believe that so much bad happenings could happen to her consecutively for 3 days ...
shocker no.3
All the above events took place when her dh was'nt in SIN. It really drove her nutz. Really can make a person 'PhD'. I also felt kind of 'useless' besides lending her my listening ear and a shoulder to cry on...what else can i do? We even asked another tcher (our so called 'closed' friend) out to talk & share her views but it was no avail. We felt that she might have kept somethings from us, which now does'nt bother me liao.... Haiz, FEMALE enviro sucks!
The only thing is Pray~~ and have Faith in whatever you do. As my best qoute says " To stay true to oneself always" ^_^

A message to my dear friend~Yvonne

When you are sad, I cry with you
When you are happy, I laugh with you
Although there are many obstacles along the way,
we must face them bravely and truly.
Motherhood is a holy job,
we are learning and growing from it everyday.
Rememeber you have friends,
reach out your hands
and we'll be there to hold on tight with you.....<3

p/s: Whatever decision you've made, I shall respect it. =)

Nothing unusual today. Going to work as normal. I always enjoy my brisk walk to Towner to take bus to work with my I-pod :p Well, it's my only form of excercise.... sad lor. Trying to jio some kakis to join me for hatha yoga or kickboxing.....anyone interested? ^_^

After work went out wif my galfriend for korean BBQ dinner @ square 2. We ordered ' wu hua rou' - layered pork belly, marinated spiced pork cutlet, kimchi soup and bimbibap. It was a hearty spread for just the 2 of us but we njoyed our dinner tremendously. So relaxing, enjoying every succulant flavour each dish had installed for us. Hmmmm heavenly~~~~~ this is one of my favourite korean resturant, it has NEVER disappoint me. Satisfaction guranteed!

Here is the info:- Hansan Korean BBQ resturant
Square 2 , novena. level 3
You can either dine at the a la carte section or the BBQ section. Prices: be preapred to pay.
Today's dinner cost us S$84.00 which I think is ok....good quality of food, good service, nice ambience.....hey no complains man =)

After dinner, treat her to a cup of Yummi yogot peachie as dinner was her treat to me. Very pai seh, next time it shall be my turn....(",) many thanks babe!

She wanted to get a swim suit which i've intro to her this cool shop at basement however the cut does'nt fit her. After a few tries she gave up...opps sori to disappoint you. Next time we go marina sq, there are more choices. Rip-curl, Surf N Ride, Quicksliver etc ^_^ As we were window shopping, something caught me. From the side of my eye I tot i saw J, a guy who i had a crush on during my sec sch days!! I took a quick glance, 60% confirm, then he looked at me...90% confirm liao...i pretend to look elsewhere and zoom off....hehe qiute mah lu lor, dunno y and dun ask k, pls!
anyway we oni went out just once and he never held my hands (cross my heart) come to think of it, aiyo it was so unromantic, so boring....hiaz lol lol lol lol....shhhhh

Dh had already brought the kids back home early so that i could spend MY time wif galfriend. Came home at 10pm. Dh was giving dd her spelling.... 'wah rare sight man, think i must go out often lol' anyway thanks dear, I'm so touch~~~~

What a nice, memoriable day.... even while i am typing this post, i m feeling great, all smiles. Thank God for this lovely day. More than words can say......<3

To love is to place our happiness
in the happiness of another.....

Peek A Boo

It's been a while since I've posted my last msg. Well my last laptop was in "ICU". Only today dh got a new acer laptop for me :) Still trying to get use to the keyboard and the tiny screen....erm
screen so small untill I've gotto literately pushing my neck forward and pushing my eyes to concentrate onto this small rectangular box...well, its travel mate size O_o

Aiyo neck & eyes v tired le....but what to do, present from hb, can reject meh?? :P

Its Monday of course, after the weekend break, feeling so lazy & legtagic. Furthermore today's weather is sooo nice & cooolll...good to haibernate like a grizzly bear. (*-*) From now on, my mondays are packed wif activities.
- go work knock off @ 1pm
-pick up ds @ 3pm remidial lesson
-go dd sch as a parent voulenter for her swimming till 6pm
-reach mum pl, rest , then go down to wait for dd sch bus to arrive @ 7pm
Phew.... what a MONDAY MADNESS!!! however at the end of the day, its all worthwhile,
As i got to spend time wif each of my kids and the happenings they had in school. We talked abt it & we laughed abt it. ^-^ Gald u like ur schools kiddos <3

At work today we are down wif 3 tchers. (On leave... on mc... on course...) left wif principal, head tcher & me. I of course took my Ks and xiam upstairs for my lesson. Hey in a crisis like this, better to care for own class then be a hero! I might sound selfish well thats life in pre- school esp in a place where i worked. Ha! This am surpose to be in a happy mood then kanna a complain from one of my K1 boy. Aiyah this boy really pissed all of us wif his uncountable lies. Lies which he made up badmouthing us to his grandma & his mum. btw his parents are undergoing a seperation. Innitally i have my sympathy for him, try to give him TLC. ...BUT in the end also kanna complain, backstab me!! :(

Made up stories to his grandma that tcher mavis told him that when he got punish, cannot tell grandma, must keep quiet. Made him stand outside classroom from 1-3pm!!
"Wah piang eh, thank God that he was'nt my child." This boy has crossed over my line & stepped unto my tail...Urg~~~~

Wanna take a break! Life kinda suckz..... keep my fingers crossed for my leave to be approve + my hb. =)

A tough decision to make....sld i stay or leave?

By Aug 1 MCYS will certify employees(teachers) from the Pre-sch sector by accordance to their educational qualifications.
Tchers wif min 3 "GCE O levels" = Assistant Teacher.
min 5 "GEC O levels" = Qualified Main Teacher.

No doubt this ruling will only take place 5 yrs from now, I've been given this pressure to go for my training which was'nt in my plans at all!! URG~~~ >_<

My initial plan was to Happy go work> care for other ppl's kids > earn a substantial pocket $$ and that's all......NO STRINGS ATTACHED!! NO COMMITMENT!! Wah lao now i felt so pressurize by this stupid ruling O_o

I asked my kids today whether they want mummy to c'tnue work or be a SAHM.

Result: dd wants me sahm / ds wants me to work Hiaz hiaz how le.....

I think I .........

Tune in to my next post :p

Just dun get it...why do some ppl spend on stuffs that was beyond their budget? In the end they became so calculative over trival matters.

My say: If u cannot afford it, dun get invloved in it. In the end u r the ones suffering! Agree?!!

Tml I've gotta a big decision to make.....

My Say

Woke this morning, feels like writing these stuff ;

1) When the going gets tough, people change. Most of the time, they changed for the worst.

2) Working in an all female environment can sometimes be a real pain the Ass!! Very 'mah fan'.

3) Looking for a greener pasture...back to square one??

Well, no matter what I'm no longer a freshie... where I can do what I want, dun care then switch off. Thinking back, I sld perhaps stay & observe then see how the situation perceives.
By the way, I'm not the only one enduring such nonsense - "Yooohooo....you know who you are, wey, do'nt smile to urself hor" LoL ;p

Where have all the flowers gone?

Why do i write that as my title? Well i find ppl change moods so quicky- Mood Swing or maybe aging tru time- menopause??!! I wonder hmmm......One minute she's nice, the next minute, its like the whole world owes her $$$. As if the workload and manpower is not enuf, new implementation was introduced today. I was'nt highlighted upon but somehow it involves all of us. Of course, standing in the management shoes, i must applaude that capacity is full to the brim, new enquires to put on waiting list, stress level will definetly rise BUT is there a need to show face of dissatisfactory, or sld i qoute as " when I need you, i'll be nice, I dun need you get lost" kind of attitude??!! As a leader of the pack, I find such behaviour very disturbing and unrefine! Through this, our morals & moods gets affected. Everbody became so careful, watching out for our own ass. Where has all the flowers gone.....where is the caring & all smiles lady that i once knew gone? I want her back again in her bubbly self. >.<

Thought of the day~ eventhough we have been friends for a while, you still kept the line drawn at the time i need your help. Is that what you call FRIENDS???????????????

Random: just my thoughts, my inner feelings, if applied to anyone i knew, i truly apologise ^.^

Record breaker- zonk out

Yesterday birthday party was the most tiring one i've experienced in my life!!
<FLASHBACK>
Suddenly recalling my days in the airline flt SQ 320, SIN-LON flight. That kind of sh** flight was like a never ending story, literately 'walking' to LONDON. Call bells "Ding Ding" non-stop, inflight service was never ending- meal after meal, those weighs a million tonnes meals/drinks carts push in & out of the galley...beers, wine, champange as long as its alcoholic drinks, you name it we have it...the orders kept going. FYI- SQ inflight meals & drinks are foc. We always hope a pax drinks till he drop then can inform captain. On arrival to destination, he will be escorted by 2 'very' friendly airport police. :p
<>
Actually the brithday was not that bad, it the goodie bags distributing part that was a real headache. We need to pass 2 different goodie bags to 2 kids- Isaac & Sherman. Really messy! My dear Ms Meow thank you so much for helping me, without you dunno how le..(muakz) Next week, no matter what, gotto pull Val & Bel to buy us a good expensive meal, dun care.......>.<

Back home, after shower, missed my fav show....plonk onto my bed & snooze into dreamland. And that was a record breaker, zonk out @ 9.00 pm zzzzzzzzz *_*
